RGBtoHD Mono & Lumacode with Audio

This is one variant of an open source project that, in combination with a Raspberry Pi Zero, allows mono or luma-encoded video signals from vintage computers to be converted to a digital signal for use with modern monitors and TVs.

This newest variant already comes with the Audio add-on that allows to integrate mono audio from your machine into the output stream. The board comes with a cable to combine two RCA plugs (white for lumacode and red for mono audio) to a 3.5mm plug.

This device was designed specifically for use with either true monochrome video sources or with other devices that generate a custom video signal that can be decoded to a color display. One such devices would be a Commodore C64 equipped with the VICIIdizer add-on.

To get a working RGBtoHD upscaler, you need a Raspberry Pi Zero (any variant) with necessary accessories: Micro SDcard, Mini HDMI cable, USB power supply and a way to copy files to the SDcard. You can also get/make the optional device case.

The latest stable release of the software can be obtained from the releases page . Copy the content of the .zip archive directly into the root of the (FAT32 formatted) SDcard. No special boot image is needed. For newest features (like newly supported machines) have a look at the latest beta release.
